My crazily fun mother-in-law picked up these get-ups in China Town, San Francisco. Mimi (what the kids call her) brought them when she came to visit a month ago and we did this photo shoot then, but I'm just getting to the blog. The kids were so cute in these outfits and Mimi even taught Galla a little Chinese dance that is so fun. Thank you, Mimi! Maybe next month we'll do a Mexican theme--anybody know where I can get some little sombreros?
Galla added a few verses to a well-known song: "The hurt on the bus goes ouch, ouch, ouch..." "The treat on the bus goes lick, lick, lick..." "The toy on the bus goes play, play, play..."
"I'm too young to go on an adventure by myself."--Galla
Maylin: "Galla, how did you get so pretty?" Galla: "I eat cake!" Now that's some beauty advice I can follow!
Any time Finn is getting into Galla's stuff (so, constantly): "Mama, you take your Finn."--Galla
When we were outside at dusk: "Look, mama! The moon! That's for a good night sleep!"--Galla
"We're just hangin' out."--Galla
Galla's nickname for Finn: "Moooshy Bottoms"
"Uh-Oh."--Finn
"I like your bottom!"--Galla as she pokes daddy's bum!
"Mom, you stay in the chicken."--Galla (she means kitchen)
When Galla wakes up in the morning she often says: "Daddy's at school. He's at the barbeque." All you WSCC students know what she's talking about!
Saturday Galla had a cough. Before bed, Brad gave her medicine and slathered her in Vicks. Sunday morning when Brad got her up she said in her sweet voice, "Thanks for fixing my cough, Dad!"
Ask Galla when her birthday is and she'll say: "March 8th, Snow White, Belle, Cinderella." Every time!
